Honest Review: My 30-Day Experience Switching from White Rice to Dailymeal Corn Rice
Posted on December 18, 2025
"I can't live without rice."
That was the sentence I always said every time I wanted to start a diet. I tried various diet methods, from No Carbs to Intermittent Fasting, but they all failed for one reason: I felt weak if I didn't eat rice.
Until finally, I found Corn Rice Dailymeal and decided to do a small challenge: 30 Days Without White Rice, totally replaced with Corn Rice.
Was it torturous? Did it taste weird? Here are my notes from the full one-month journey.
Week 1: Taste Adaptation
Honestly, the first day felt a bit strange. My tongue, used to sticky and sweet white rice, had to adapt to the grainier texture of corn rice.
However, the surprise came on day 3. I realized that I did not feel sleepy after lunch. Usually, 2 PM is the hardest time at the office, but this time my eyes were fresh. Turns out, the "Low GI" (Low Glycemic Index) claim is true.
Week 2: Feeling "Lighter"
Entering the second week, I started to feel significant physical changes.
- Smoother Digestion: I used to get constipated often, but thanks to the high corn fiber, digestion became very regular every morning.
- Fuller for Longer: My portion sizes automatically decreased. Usually, in the afternoon I needed fried snacks or sweet coffee, but now I still feel full until it's time to leave the office.
Week 3 & 4: Real Results
At the end of the month, I dared to step on the scale. The result? Lost 2.5 kg without heavy exercise and without starving!
Even happier was my shrinking waistline. Work pants that were tight now feel loose. The "bloated" feeling that usually appears after dinner has totally disappeared.
Conclusion: Is It Worth It?
Totally Worth It!
If you are like me—a hardcore rice lover who wants to live healthier or lose weight—Dailymeal is a lifesaver.
The benefits I felt:
- Taste: Neutral and delicious (after getting used to it, it tastes better than white rice because it's not nauseatingly sweet).
- Practical: Easy to cook using a rice cooker.
- Effective: Weight loss, stable blood sugar, and body feels light.
I don't plan on going back to daily white rice. Dailymeal Corn Rice is now a mandatory stock in my kitchen.
